...And I Now Fly

A Recap of a Perfect Sunday Wedding

There is nothing like family.  There is nothing like adding to our amazing family!
I am blessed and fortunate to be a part of a unique and loving bloodline that fills me with joy just being with them!

Congratulations to my cousin Aaron and his new wife, Sara!

The new Mr. & Mrs first dance!!!
Expect me to be all over the place with this blog and the pictures but bear with me!!

This wedding was so creatively and beautifully done!  Kudos to Sara for adding her special touch, love and heart into a great day!

The beautiful ceremony location overlooking the water!
It was a beautiful day!  The sun came out and made it comfortable for all.  Not too hot or too cold!

Listening to the reading
My cousin has married the most sweetest girl ever!  I couldn't have asked for a better wife for him.  She is simply amazing and I'm glad to now call her family!  Aaron's father, Rex, officiated the wedding and that definitely put a heartwarming touch to it!  I would say the best wedding ceremony I have been to.

Listening to the toasts!
This was probably the most impressive moment of the day for me!

My handsome cousin Sean giving the best man toast
....and this is why!  Sean gave the most heartfelt speech!  It brought the family to tears! He is such a great speaker and I was so impressed!  Go little Cuz!

The beautiful Paulette (mother of the groom: Aaron)
Okay so let's backtrack (like I said I would be all over the place in no particular order with this one)
This is one day I wouldn't mind reliving!

Paulette, my mother's first cousin, looked stunning and so proud!  I won't go into too many memories but when being around my mother's family the thought that comes to mind is the many summers spent growing up with all of these wonderful people!

First cousins: Sean and Aaron
It's funny because my cousin's are all my baby cousins even though they are way taller then me now! I remember babysitting them many, many times!  I remember finding Aaron playing in a dirty ditch when we were kids!  And watching Sean grow up when I attended Hampton U. (who btw attends Howard)

My hearts
I don't condone the word "favorite" but these two were the ones I really grew up with!  (even though they are younger)  Nicole is very much like my younger sister in so many ways!  I have more memories with her than I could even begin to journal.  Justin is also like a younger brother to me because he and I have spent more summers together then ever.  This picture means so much to me and it made me realize how much I really miss and love them!

My cousin Amber (Aaron's sister) and her boyfriend Brandon!
Amber is another baby cousin of mine who is one of the most fun people I know!  She has such a positive, loving spirit about her and I'm so proud to call her family.  She is another one who I have watched grow up and she has grew into a beautiful, wonderful woman!!!  I love her to pieces and I absolutely adore her boyfriend! I haven't had too many conversation with him but I'm pretty good at reading people and I look forward to getting to know him more!

The matriarch of the family, my mom and 2nd mom, Freda & 3rd mom, Sharon and cousin Caroline
And these were a few of the women who helped shape me into who I am today.
My mom show is center in black & white.  She goes without saying.  My two other mother's are Freda and Sharon!  Freda is standing (mother of Nicole & Sean) and Sharon who is in black (Mother of Justin)
Aunt Carrie is the matriarch of the family; she is sitting to the left of Freda (and Freda's mother).

My cousin Sharon and Justin's girlfriend, Tarcila
I was so excited to meet Justin's girlfiend!!  Seeing the many pictures on FB and hearing so much about her didn't give her justice at all.  She is perfect for my cousin and I already fell in love with her in just one meeting!  Can't wait to visit them all in Florida before my wedding!!!

My cousin Claude playing the Sax
The talent was oozing from my family this day!  Once again, this was the first time I had heard my cousin play and I was floored!  He is amazing!

mother/son dance

Aunt Carrie & Uncle Freddie: love them so very much!
How perfect!
Once again, congrats to my cousin Aaron and Sara!
